Rosas 5 is one of Barcelona’s established names and sits in an unusual position: it serves the swinger scene and the BDSM scene in the same building, on different nights and in different rooms.

Two scenes, one address

Most venues pick a lane. This one runs liberal swinger nights alongside dedicated BDSM and fetish events with proper equipment. The crossover is smaller than you might expect — the crowds differ, and so do the conventions — but it does mean you can explore both without learning two venues.

Check which kind of night you are booking. They are not interchangeable.

Dress code

Standard nights ask for smart or sexy dress rather than fetish gear; the Spanish scene generally sits between the Berlin and Paris poles. Themed and fetish evenings apply stricter codes. Jeans and trainers are not the move on any night.

Single men

As across most of the Spanish and French scene, admission is structured around couples and single women. Single men are restricted on many nights and charged more where admitted. This is normal for the category and not worth arguing about at the door.

Etiquette

Standard, with the Spanish scene’s slightly more social register:

  • Conversation first. The bar is where the evening starts, and skipping that step is noticed.
  • Ask before touching, always.
  • Take a no immediately and without visible irritation.
  • No phones or cameras.
  • Clean equipment after use in the BDSM areas.

Practical

Barcelona’s scene runs late even by Spanish standards, and arriving early can mean an empty room. Cash is useful. Check whether your night requires advance booking.

Before you go: event types, dress codes and admission rules vary considerably between nights here. Confirm on the club's own listing for your date.
