About

Why this exists

Almost everything written about kink venues online is either written to sell you something or written by someone who has never been. Both are easy to spot, and both are useless when you are standing outside a club wondering whether you are dressed correctly.

What we do

We write plainly about adult venues and the culture around them: what to wear, how the door works, what the etiquette is, and what actually happens inside. The aim is that someone curious but nervous can read a page here and walk in feeling like a guest rather than a tourist.

What we don't do

  • We publish no explicit imagery. Not on any page, not ever. This is a deliberate editorial and legal decision, not squeamishness.
  • We take no money from venues. No venue can pay to be listed, delisted, or described more kindly. None of them sponsor us and none of them see a page before it goes up.
  • We don't pretend to have been everywhere. Listings are compiled from public information and checked against the venue's own published policies. Each page shows when it was last verified.

How we make money

Some outbound links to adult platforms are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you subscribe there. That is the entire business model, it is disclosed on every page where such a link appears, and it has no influence on our venue coverage — the platforms we link to have nothing to do with the clubs we write about.

Accuracy, and how to correct us

Door policies change, venues close, and dress codes get rewritten. We will get things wrong. When we do, we would much rather hear about it than leave it — tell us on the corrections page and it usually gets fixed the same week. If you run a venue and would prefer not to be listed at all, ask and we will remove it without argument.

A note on tone

This subject attracts two kinds of bad writing: the leering kind and the clinical kind. We try to avoid both and write the way you would actually explain it to a friend who asked. If we ever drift into either, tell us.
