Open Mind is worth knowing about mainly for one reason: in a city where doors are generally relaxed, this one is not. The dress code is stated plainly and applied.

The dress code is real

Jeans, shorts and ordinary street clothing are prohibited, and that prohibition is enforced rather than aspirational. Depending on the night the expectation runs from smart-and-sexy through to explicitly fetish.

This is the most common reason people are turned away here, and it is entirely avoidable. Read the night’s stated code and take it literally.

What it is like

A liberal club in the Spanish sense — social, bar-centred, with play spaces attached. The evening tends to begin with conversation and drinks and develop from there. Arriving with a plan to skip straight to the play areas misreads the room.

Single men

As is standard across the Spanish scene, admission and pricing are structured around couples and single women. Check the policy for your night before travelling; assumptions here are expensive.

Etiquette

  • Talk to people first. The social layer is not a formality.
  • Ask before any contact.
  • A no ends it. Immediately, and without a follow-up question.
  • No photography anywhere.
  • Respect the play areas — do not crowd, do not comment, do not join uninvited.

Practical

Spanish nightlife runs very late; arriving before midnight often means an empty venue. Bring cash as well as a card, and confirm whether the night needs advance booking.

Before you go: the dress code and admission rules differ between nights and are applied strictly here. Confirm the specifics on the club's own listing for your date.
