Club Church sits in the middle of Amsterdam and has become the city’s reference point for fetish nightlife. It is primarily a gay men’s venue, though a number of its nights are mixed or open to all genders — which one applies depends entirely on the event.

More than at almost any other venue in this guide, the night is the thing. Club Church runs a different themed party most evenings, and they differ in crowd, dress code and who is admitted. A leather night and a mixed night share an address and nothing else.
Check the club’s own calendar for the specific date before you make any plans. This is the single most useful thing you can do.
Dress code
Whatever the event specifies. Across the calendar you will find leather, rubber, sportswear, underwear-only and naked nights. Street clothes are generally not acceptable, but there are changing facilities and arriving with your outfit in a bag is entirely normal.
What it is like
Smaller and more compact than the Berlin venues, spread over more than one level, with a bar area and separate darker spaces. Because it is central and long-established, the crowd is a mix of locals and visitors, and it is used to newcomers — the atmosphere is noticeably less intimidating than a first-timer expects.
Etiquette
The standard rules apply and are taken seriously: ask before touching, accept a no immediately, no phones or cameras anywhere, do not crowd people who are already occupied. Staff are approachable and would rather you asked a question than guessed.
Practical notes
Amsterdam is compact and the venue is central, so getting there is easy. Cloakroom facilities exist and you should use them. Bring cash as well as a card.
